What is a Multilayer PCB?
It is a PCB with at least 3 copper layers (mostly an even number, starting from 4 layer). The inner layers are processed as pairs. They are bonded together with prepregs as an isolationlayer. The top and bottom layers are copper and are used to place the components on one or both sides.
The connection between layers is made by drilling holes through all layers, but can also added by buried or blind drilled holes, depending on the complexity of the layout.
Multilayer are used for computers, phones, medical equipment, car systems, aeroplane devices etc
